“Wisdom is the right use of knowledge” (Charles Spurgeon). This quote emulates Steve Stinson’s journey and how his attitude and actions have impacted others for decades. His hope is that he speaks the right words and provides the right advice to all who seek his guidance.

Steve grew up in Enterprise, Alabama with his brother, sister, and two hard-working parents. He remembers his childhood being a happy one, with his Dad being an especially influential person in his life and career, despite never having graduated from high school, himself. Instead, his Dad was only 16 years old when he left the family farm and actually lied about his age in order to join the Navy. He served with pride and honor and is remembered for his optimistic outlook. His Mom had a career as well, working in procurement at Fort Rucker in Enterprise. It’s no surprise that optimism and a strong work ethic were the primary traits they passed down to Steve.

After attending the University of Alabama, Steve began a job as a copy machine salesman, which led him to meet Judy, his wife of 40 years and counting. After his first son was born, Steve’s priorities shifted, adding a greater sense of responsibility into his life. He then embraced a more serious career, becoming a Certified Financial Planner on Wall Street, where he remained for 20 years. He acquired much experience during this time, making him well versed in the financial world, with special emphasis on communication and attention to detail. However, after the tragedy of 9/11 and another market downturn, he knew he’d had enough of the unpredictable market swings. He began seeking a change of pace that would afford him more freedom and the ability to work outside of a traditional office setting. Since many of his former clients invested in real estate, he had gained great knowledge of the industry and knew it would be a perfect fit. He realized he could help home buyers and sellers make the right decisions based on the wisdom he had attained over the years in both finance and real estate. His goal was to give them the best advice and experience they’d ever had. As a result, he became known for helping his clients make ‘A Wise Move’.

Today, Steve specializes in helping growing families, empty nesters & investors seeking to make a wise move. He’s committed to a ‘no pressure’ approach and making a complicated process simple to understand. He’s been an active agent since 2005, experienced in existing homes, new construction and investments. He has earned a Graduate Real Estate Institute certification and brings knowledge, experience, and wisdom to every client he helps.

When Steve isn’t helping people make wise moves, he spends time with Judy, watching their favorite movies or fishing on the lake. In his infinite quest to learn and experience life, his bucket list plans include traveling with Judy in an RV across the United States, visiting national parks along the way. He believes the best experiences in life are always ahead. Most importantly, he stays grounded in his faith to help ensure that the knowledge and intentions he has are always used the right way, and for the right reasons, for only then can they be deemed ‘wise’.
